Independent Voters

A recent thought on Independent voters: If the Republican party saw a huge drop off in registered Republicans -one report saying a net loss of 300,000+ just in the currently considered battle ground states- while Independent registration has increased (as well as Democrat registration) isn't it pretty likely that the Independent voters probably lean Republican this year? Heavier than in the past? And if Palin energizes the Republican base, people left the Republican party because they stopped acting like Republicans, Palin may in fact be helping with more Independents then currently being discussed (and more than this blogger first thought). Just another food for thought...
