Russia-Georgia: Palin

So Putin makes the claim that President Bush helped create this situation to help elect Senator John McCain. This is obviously ridiculous. It is still being investigated whether the US did have troops in Georgia training Georgian troops and was on the ground during the action. Nothing definitive from an outside non-partisan international group yet.

Now lets address whether this actually helps elect Sen. McCain or not: Yes. Yes it does. The polls have shown that since this disaster started. Now, having said that, doesn't this also question greatly the pick of Gov. Palin as Sen. McCain's VP choice being that she's a heartbeat away from being President if they win? She shows a lot of promise, their are things to respect in her very short time as a Governor (sorry, but Mayor of a non-populated city doesn't count). I'm sure, if one is a conservative, she could handle domestic issues. She has direct experience with dealing with the energy companies. Governors deal with the same agencies that Presidents do just on a much smaller level, especially when your state has less than 1 Million people.

Nothing says that she could handle sitting across from someone like Putin or the head of North Korea or the head of Iran or Pakistan. Lets be honest, some of these foreign countries would balk at sitting across from and compromising with a woman. What in her background says she'd know when to go to war and when she'd know to sit tight? What in her background says that she'd know how to win a war? Would she simply be a "tell me how to get this done" woman? Would she be at the mercy of her advisers (chosen by McCain)?

Well Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor (who is very popular in Germany and who was furious at Obama campaigning in her country) has been 1 of the leading European leaders in the so far disasterously failed so called negotiations w/ Tehran. And unless you are the Gov of NY you dont deal with foreign leaders ever as a governor so thats not a conclusion 1 can draw until we see Sarah as VIce Presiident. And also John McCain didnt pick her to bolster his foreign policy credentials as Obama did in picking Biden. How do we know Barack Obama is prepared to square off w/ Putin? his initial statements show how very little he knows about the situation.

You love trying to change the arguemnt. This wasn't an attack post. Of course Mr. McCain didn't pick her to bolster his foreign policy experience, that has nothing to do with it. The post has everything to do with the fact she could be a heartbeat away from being President and nothing in her background or history says she could hanle two wars and dealing with other countries on the brink. Chancellor Merkel not appreciating Obama has nothing to do with my post, stick with pertinent facts. For the record, she could've told Mr. Obama no. "Leading European leader...disasterously failed..." That helps Palin's case...?
