They were 95% the same candidate and not only did the entire country know it, so did they. Just saw a piece calling Gov. Richardson a “formal rival”. Hope you just laughed as heartily as I did. Sec. of Def. Gates was a rival? Really? Since when? Can someone come up with a critical word spoken by President-Elect Obama about Sec. Gates? Good luck finding one. It was obvious even before the O’Reilly interview when Mr. Obama called Gates a “serious member of this administration” that he was going to be keeping Mr. Gates on. Team of rivals, ha.
